I'm Bastiaan Terhorst — founder, product builder, and CTO (most notably at WeTransfer). Over my 15+ year career I've led all stages of product development, built products for millions, and seen companies through every stage of growth.
As an accredited executive coach, I'm strongest at developing people and teams. Friction is rarely technical; I diagnose the operational cause fast and rally the team around the solution. And I'm still an engineer, having built systems at every scale. Today I focus on AI workflows, from one-week PoCs to production systems.
I've done the business end too: shaping strategy at board level, running technical due diligence for investors, and seeing acquisitions through — from both sides of the table.
My experience has taught me that strategy is the map, and the messy day-to-day is the territory.
